Prekjučer je počeo Kongres kineske komunističke partije, koji se održava svakih pet godina. Održan je u Pekingu, a radi se o događaju koji je iznimno bitan u političkom životu Kine, na kojem članovi partije odlučuju o državnom vodstvu i smjeru u kojem će djelovati u narednih pet godina.
Naravno, ključan događaj je bio govor kineskog predsjednika Xija Jinpinga koji je trajao više od tri sata, ali sigurno ne i najzanimljiviji. Za to se pobrinuo 91-godišnji bivši predsjednik Jiang Zemin, koji je morao nazočiti cijelom događaju i koji je bio daleko najzabavnija pojava na kongresu. Naime, kamere su ga snimile kako, tijekom gotovo tri i pol sata govora, odolijeva starosti i umoru i izdržava pratiti sve što se događa oko njega.
