Nevjerojatan je podatak da je naziv skulpture koja je zadržala vlak - "Saved by the Whale's Tail"

Na željezničkoj stanici blizu Rotterdama, noćas nešto iza ponoći gigantska skulptura kita zaustavila je vlak od opasnog pada u vodu. Svakako nesvakidašnja nezgoda dogodila se kada je vlak metroa prošao preko “stop” znakova i probio zaštitnu barijeru platforme. Tu ga je dočekala skulptura kita, odnosno rep skulpture kita, koji je prevenirao 10-metarsko poniranje vlaka.

Guardian piše da vozač metroa nije ozlijeđen i da je uspio sam izaći iz vagona. U trenutku ove neobične nesreće, putnika u vlaku nije bilo. Još nije posve jasno kako je došlo do nezgode, no autor skulpture Maarten Struijs iznenađen je da je uspjela izdržati toliku težinu.

Prigodan naziv skulpture

“Začuđen sam da je toliko snažna. Kada plastika stoji 20 godina, ne očekuješ da će izdržati težinu metro vlaka”, kazao je Struijs. Skulptura je izrađena od ojačanog poliestera i postavljena 2002. godine pored De Akkers stanice blizu Rotterdama, a s obzirom na noćašnji događaj, nevjerojatan je i podatak da je naziv skulpture “Saved by the Whale’s Tail” (Spašen kitovim repom). Na fotografijama je zabilježena ova prilično nevjerojatna scena.
